About The Destination
Pushkar & Ajmer
Pushkar and Ajmer sit a short drive apart in the Aravalli hills, and are usually visited together. Pushkar is built around a sacred lake with more than 500 temples, including one of India's few temples dedicated to Brahma, and draws pilgrims and travelers alike, especially during its famous camel fair.
Ajmer, the larger city next door, is home to the Ajmer Sharif Dargah, the shrine of the Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, one of the most visited Muslim pilgrimage sites in India and a place of worship for people of many faiths.
